So I decided to look into it.

Upon finding a full listing of the CSS Frameworks. I am immediately faced with the dilemma of choosing which framework to use. Out of all the others, one of them seemed to stand out. -the 960 Grid System.

The 960 Grid System is based on a width of 960 pixels and offers divisions of either a 12-column layout or a 16-column layout.

You can watch an indepth turorial and explanation on how to use it at Nettuts

Well, considering how much I’m attracted to almost anything Japanese related,.. decided to take a look.

‘UNIQLO Co., Ltd. (株式会社ユニクロ, Kabushiki-gaisha yunikuro) is a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer and is also Japan’s leading clothing retail chain in terms of sales and profits.’

-

UNIQLO’s new innovative store concept designed by UNIQLO creative director Kashiwa Sato, one of Japans top creative directors. New image, new look, ads and ad campaigns, the works.

This now leads us to Uniqlock, a flash-based website featuring three things – Music, Dance, and Clock. The site shows the current global time in Tokyo, Japan and clips of girls dancing interpretive to a fine tune at set intervals wearing Uniqlo garments. I know, to good to be true, right? Well, it looks better than it sounds so go check it out at the official site.

*music is switched off by default, click on the bottom right icon to hear the music

Uniqlock also offers downloadable screensavers and phone applications if you fancy it enough. And you can even embed them on your blogs. Check out Uniclock user’s blog list to see full stats.

Of course, making a loading icon requires more work, and maybe creativity, on your part, so for those who don’t have the time and effort( or patience) to make a loading icon, Ajaxload offers automatic generation of animated loading bars and icons in .gif format. It offers several different commonly used preloaders images, and allows color customization for your visual preference.

So I’ve decided to write a quick post about it and what it is.

Gravatars are all around avatars, it stands for Globally Recognized Avatars. You may notice, on some blogs and websites, comments by guests or users are often accompanied by personalized avatars. And when you write your own comment, you receive a generic avatar. Now, you may be wondering,.. how do I get a personalized one?

The answer? Sign up with Gravatar. This will allow you to upload and host your avatar which will now be visible across any website or blog that supports Gravatars. All you need to do is include your associated gravatar e-mail address on the commentary section. Go ahead and try it out, set up an account and leave a comment here after you’ve finished.

Additionally, Wordpress already has support for Gravatars(as of version 2.5), but if you want to implement gravatars on your non-wordpress blog, several plugins are readily available. You can check out the Gravatar implementor’s guide for more info.^^

You can also see the Wikipedia article for more information.
